ERPA PeopleSoft Rapid Fluid Deployment (Case Study)
PeopleSoft is still going strong with an estimated four thousand plus (4886) application installations thanks to customer-driven innovation, continuous investment, and a global product development team one thousand (1,000) strong. Features such as Selective Adoption, Simplified Analytics, Elastic Search, WorkCenters, Fluid UI, and Clustered Environments maintain PeopleSoft’s position as a powerful solution for businesses operations globally.
In the past seven years since version 9.2 was released most customers of Oracle’s PeopleSoft applications focused on upgrading their ecosystem to 9.2 on PeopleTools 8.53 and then continue to upgrade PeopleTools through the current 8.57 release. While the new technical foundation allowed for things like WorkCenters, Form Builder, and Fluid development many organizations did not look to adopt new features immediately. In a lot of cases they conducted forklift upgrades meant to bring the application up to the latest application version but did not adopt new features or functions wholesale. This was especially true in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 which was made generally available in December 2015. Oracle purposefully released CS 9.2 with few major new application features or functionalities. The major upgrade was in the underlying technical foundation in PeopleTools capabilities which has continued to be expanded. Fluid development capability was available in 8.54 while the published fluid pages have continued to grow in number since.
ERPA listened to our clients who said they were interested in PeopleSoft fluid but did not have time to immediately focus on that development. As a result, we developed a Rapid Fluid Deployment implementation service which could be combined with Fluid as a Service (FaaS) to save our clients time and cost in rolling out Fluid UIs.

Client: The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is the community college district serving Los Angeles, California, and some of its neighboring cities and certain unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. Its headquarters are in Downtown Los Angeles. Over the past seventy-seven years LACCD has served as educator to more than three million students. The Los Angeles Community College District is the largest community college district in the United States and is one of the largest in the world. The nine colleges within the district offer educational opportunities to students in Los Angeles.
